Hello Dawn. I am a mostly kinistetic thinker with some aural. When I try to visualize I see nothing but black. So when I tried to read Chakras I ran into a bit of a problem, I could not visualize them. So I have come up with something that may be of interest to some of your readers. I first ask a person for permission to read their Chakras, and then using the same method as you would feel your energy field I bring my hands together starting at about a foot apart till I fill the Chakra. I set my intention on which Chakra I want to read usually starting at the Base Chakra and working my way up. I found that I could feel the Chakras in different sizes and firmnesses quite easily. I know that us kinistetic thinkers only number about 1 percent of the population, but having a tool such as this puts us on the same footing as a visual thinker. I have shown this technique to a number of people and most of them have been able to use it effectively.

Funny how childhood experiences seemed so normal at the time yet time and others can cause one to feel so separated from society. I thought everyone had the ability to heal and didn't give it any thought. My memories of childhood are almost non-existent and most I have recalled through hypnosis. No big, I remember one vital event when a friend of one of my brothers was playing in our backyard and I, as always, was the younger sister on the sideline, hoping for an invitation to join the boys. LOL! The friend got cut, not badly but he was bleeding. We all knew to wash out his cut with the water hose (we were outside more than inside back then). I went to help...his tears subsided as I let the water flow over his hand as I focused on the blood red water getting lighter, pinker, and eventually clear. I, on the other hand, was nauseated - lol! Thus began my knowledge of being an empath and a healer - without even knowing. Over the years, I explored healing and eventually obtained Reiki Master attunement though my methods have taken on their own flavor and flow. Now is my time to embrace and become whole in this area of my life, to no longer treat these gifts as something that is a part of me but yet as the very essence of me. Thank you for this wonderful site and the great information!

@17:45 minutes in...the slick guy in the charcoal suite says: "at the University of California at Stanford..." Huh? Then in the next minute he basically makes a pitch promoting frequency aligning pendants. Wtf? Who is this guy? His name is intentionally blurred out, and rightfully so because he's an embarrassment to some otherwise nicely done segments. Unfortunately I suspect he's one of the producers of the film. And also the "soul mate" connection lady... seriously!?? No wonder the new age movement gets a bad rap when you juxtapose quantum physicists next to woo woo match makers.
This film has interesting concepts but blunders like the above don't help with credibility, and hence don't help the cause. Too bad because some of the ideas are worthy of sharing, but this film isn't going to be the proper vehicle to do it. I'm not a hater, but if we as a community want our ideas to be more broadly accepted, we need to tighten up our game.

Very enthralling information. Enjoyed the mental challenge of reading it. I am about at a 7 in "awareness" in terms of my attention to thoughts, words and actions. However, I recognize the need to work on rising to a higher spiritual frequency and understand that being human means for me to stay in the flow of life and living. I love the concept of "Speaking Life and Light into Negativity. It produces a whole new way of healing, loving and revealing truths.

Hi! I've been doing yoga off and on for about 7 years. I've tried kundalini, hatha yoga and a couple other styles that i can't remember now. Sorry. Anyway, the best yoga for me has been my own. I've taken all that i've learned from classes, books, videos, and the internet and combined the best (for me) of each to make my own style that i can do at my own pace, in my home. Not every yoga pose is for you. And a teacher can't focus a group class on solely your needs. So, i found it best after a while to make my own classes focusing on my abilities and needs. This way I am able to go at my own pace, stopping when i feel any pain/discomfort or keeping a pose longer if it feels real good. Sometimes i will even create a new pose by feeling where my body wants go. The body already knows what it wants. We just have to learn to follow it versus trying to lead it all the time. But then i do not do yoga specifically for weight loss or a huge increase in flexibility. So, i do not have a need to push myself to an uncomfortable level.

Improper yoga practices have caused me mild discomfort a few times over the years. And i injured myself once, several years back. I pulled a neck muscle. I couldn't move my head for a day. This made me realize how stressed out i was about a situation. (This was a pose i had done many times before and after without any injury.) And so, at this moment, i learned that every yoga session is a new session, carrying with it new needs and capabilites. A healthy yoga session isn't just about doing the right pose; it is also about paying close attention to your body throughout the yoga process. And the best way to do that is to release yourself to it, be in the moment, and block the internal chatter. Sometimes my mind wonders (with and without internal chatter) and when i come back to my body i realize that my body had been sending me signals to stop whatever i'd been doing. Except i never heard it. Anyway, yoga is like a school subject for me. It's always teaching me something. Just when i think i know it, i learn something new.

Good luck in your yoga journey! :)
