In the Hindu pantheon of gods and goddesses, the elephant-headed chubby fellow is called Ganesh (sometimes Ganesha). He’s the son of the Goddess Parvati and the God Shiva, in most of his mythic tales. Now the cause of his rather unusual head is a convoluted tale that’s a bit creepy, if you ask me. But story aside, Ganesha is beloved all over India and the world, primarily as the Remover of Obstacles.
Now if you’ve been with me for awhile, you know I’m an advocate of personal power and responsibility. I know that healing ourselves truly IS within our own hands. But hey, a blissful meditation is part and parcel to any healing process. So with this in mind, the next time you need a little “umph!” to removing the obstacles between you and your most vibrant self, enjoy blissing out with this beautiful chant. (The silly graphics are kind of nifty, too! :D)
I don’t know about you, but I tend to feel rather tranquil after listening to or chanting something simple over and over again. How do you get yourself into a state of mind peace to make room for healing? Let me know in the comments below.
